A chance to learn with top local portrait artist Tony Nero to uncover the secrets and skills of creating portraits.
This session will include the chance to look closely at portraits in the Museum’s collection, learn some of the key skills in creating a portrait including observation and sketching, before creating your own portrait in a choice of media, inspired by the portraits in the Museum.
We will invite participants to submit a piece of work that can be displayed in the Museum during the Easter holidays. This session is aimed at 14- 16 year olds, and would benefit particularly those studying art at GCSE.
All art materials are provided as part of the sessions, included in the cost, but please bring your own lunch and refreshments
