A salute to Elizabeth Cromwell.
The sound of drums rolls across the village as the Parliament army returns to Northborough to pay tribute to Elizabeth Cromwell, widow of Oliver Cromwell.
March with Colonel John Pickering's Regiment of Foote to St Andrew's Church to lay a wreath on Elizabeth's burial place.
Advance to Northborough Village School playing field to immerse yourself in 17th century life.
Experience Living History , meet the soldiers and see up close the weapons, clothing and equipment used in the military campaigns of over 400 years ago.
Watch Civil War drills and skirmishes. Whose side will you pick?
The Sealed Knot is the oldest re-enactment society in the UK, a registered educational charity and the single biggest re-enactment society in Europe. The Sealed Knot bring history to life by staging events throughout the country all the year round, offering a chance to experience at frst hand the horrors of a nation at war with itself, as well as providing a glimpse of 17th century everyday life.
The Cromwell Museum in Huntingdon will also be at the event with artefacts from the Civil War period and lots of other books and information. Stuart Orme, the Museum's Curator will give a talk in St Andrew's Church on Saturday evening at 7 pm tickets on the door.

Tickets on the day £10 .00 , cash only.
Under 12's are free but must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Food and refreshments for sale on site , fully accessible toilet faciltiies on site and parking available in the village.
St Andrew's Church will be open free of charge and tea and cakes will be on sale 2.00 pm - 4.00 pm on the Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
