This April the Cromwell Museum is getting creative as we explore the art in our collection. Join us and create your own treasures to take home as you try out block printing, embroidery and portrait painting with local artists Maria Maidment and Tony Nero.
No booking required, drop in only, ages 8+.
Tuesday 5 April 2022: Block Printing
11am - 3pm
Create your own block print design to take home with you based on designs in the Cromwell Museum’s collection.
This drop-in workshop is suitable for all levels of experience and will be led by local conservator/heritage textile artist Maria Maidment (https://www.oldmaidnew.com/).
Thursday 7 April 2022: Embroidery
11am - 3pm
Get inspired by the textiles and paintings in our collection! Make your own 17th century cross-stitch project in this hands-on and creative workshop.
This workshop is suitable for all levels of experience and will be led by local conservator/heritage textile artist Maria Maidment (https://www.oldmaidnew.com/).
Thursday 14 April 2022: Portrait Painting
11am - 3pm
Join us to learn to paint a portrait, based on the historic civil war portraits in the Cromwell Museum’s collection. Will you paint a Royalist or a Parliamentarian?
This workshop is suitable for all levels of experience and will be led by Peterborough artist Tony Nero (https://www.artoftonynero.com/).
